Selling your home is a big decision.

Not only may there be years of memories invested in the building, upgrading, or time spent with friends and family under your roof, but there’s also the significant financial question of “How much will my house sell for?”

While there are no laws setting agent commission rates, the typical is 2.5%-3% per side of the transaction. That’s an average of 5%-6% of the home’s selling price paid to brokers.

For Sellers, we charge a 2% listing fee (subject to a $5,000 minimum earned fee) for our side of the transaction which is paid at closing.*

Sellers may also offer a commission to incentivize buyers’ agents (also known as cooperating brokers) to show and sell the house.  Again, this commission is typically 2.5% to 3% but is ultimately set by the seller.  If the buyer does not use an agent, and Stars and Stripes Realty represents BOTH sides of the transaction, then the total fee charged will be 4.5% rather than 2%.

*If the Seller decides to withdraw their house from the market after paid services (including but not limited to photography or drone footage) have been hired and paid for by Stars and Stripes Realty, then the Sellers agree to reimburse their Stars and Stripes Realty agent for those actual hard costs.
